The Plan
Here's the basic schedule for the wedding weekend:
Breakfast each morning is DIY. Food will be available for everyone (eggs, bread for toast, cereal, milk, coffee, tea, juice, etc.).
Thursday: Most people arrive at some point throughout the day. We'll have an informal pasta dinner at the farm that night.
Friday: We're heading into Sequoia National Park in the early afternoon for a picnic and hiking. At about 11am, we'll depart the farm. We'll bring food, drinks, salads, and snacks for our picnic lunch at Crescent Meadow. From there, people can take advantage of several hiking options, from paved walks among the big trees to more vigorous trails, or just hang out with friends and drink wine at the picnic site.
Friday night: Jen's dad is hosting a pre-wedding party at the farm. We'll have vegetarian and non-vegetarian chili and all the fixin's. The party includes our special musical guest, but be sure to bring those party playlists (see the Musical Potluck post below).
Saturday morning: We're taking a light hike at Ladybug, a nearby trail. Food will consist of leftovers from Friday. All are welcome to join us, but people should feel free to do what they like, e.g., exploring Three Rivers and its environs, antiquing, shopping, swimming, hiking the park, relaxing around the farm, etc. We'll have suggestions for alternative activities to suit anyone's tastes. We'll repair to the farm by early afternoon (~2pm) for siestas and last minute wedding preparations.
Saturday afternoon: Final wedding preparations and decorating. Time for people to get cleaned up for the ceremony.
Saturday night: Please assemble around the deck by 6p/6:15pm. The wedding ceremony will take place from 6:30pm to 7pm. Drinks will be served immediately afterward, followed by dinner at 8pm. Then dancing and revelry throughout the night!
Sunday morning: Most people will be packing up and heading out on Sunday.

Activities
As the wedding draws near, we've been thinking about things for people to do during the days on the farm. We have a couple of hikes and similar outdoor activities planned and there are many more similar things for you to do on your own. But, as far as self-directed activities on the farm go, you're welcome to bring whatever sports equipment you'd like, e.g., baseballs and mitts, frisbees, jarts, badminton, bocce balls, footballs, assorted nerf items, etc. If you've got a slip n' slide in your garage, bring it along!
